Deep excavations are usual in construction, such as basements, underground car parks, or metro stations. A rigorous analysis of these structures is required to ensure stability, optimize the retaining systems, avoid excessive seepage and minimize disturbance to neighboring structures.
This course will introduce the participants to a fast and efficient methodology for the analysis of deep excavations with finite elements using Optum G2. Many of the concepts presented are also applicable for other geotechnical problems.
The course is intended for construction professionals, civil and environmental engineers, geologists and construction profesionals.
