In terms of mechanical response, soils are among the most complex materials. The choice and calibration of constitutive models to effectively describethe behavior of soils represents one of the critical ingredients for a successful geotechnical analysis.
In this course, the participants will gain an insight into the available approaches for soil modeling in Finite Elements, to understand the modeling hypotheses, and the principles to choose the most appropriate model for each application.
Extended tutorials will complement the course on Optum G2 with a particular emphasis on model calibration.
